ControlUp’s New ‘Drive DX’ Partner Program Goes Global To Improve Digital Employee Experience

Troubleshooting a technology issue while working from home presents more problems than just the issue the end-user is experiencing.

“IT is in a position now where they have to monitor and manage the digital employee experience. And that’s a very big challenge for IT because they’ve lost a lot of the control and the visibility that they had in the past,” said Barry Flanagan, vice president of Americas and APAC sales at San Francisco-based software firm ControlUp, maker of a digital employee experience management platform.

He continued, “the goal here is to help them solve that problem through ControlUp, and our great partners in the field.”

ControlUp gave CRN an exclusive first look at the company’s new Drive DX global partner program. Along with the new program, the company has added capabilities such as unified communications and SaaS app monitoring, end-user sentiment assessment, and DX metrics which enables IT to identify and respond to technical issues to minimize interruption and productivity.

Here’s a look at some of the CRNtv interview with Flanagan as he talks about the program, and additional capabilities that will help the company, partners and customers can all take on challenges the current digital employee experience present.ADVERTISEMENT

What’s your elevator pitch about why partners should join this new partner program?

It’s an evolution for us. ControlUp started focused exclusively on VDI user experience and remote work or hybrid work is bigger than ever. As that’s evolved, and companies have learned to deal with that, we‘re delivering a digital employee experience (DEX) monitoring and management platform. There’s a great opportunity for partners to go to market with us to deliver this to their customers.

How would you say your partner program motivates partners?

That‘s a good question. First and foremost, it motivates them by providing a solution that their customers need. Our customers have problems. And this is a problem that’s really top of mind since the pandemic and the lockdowns and we move to this hybrid workforce.

What investments has ControlUp has made to enhance campaigns and programs for partners?

We’ve invested from a marketing perspective. We’re providing MDF to partners. So that‘s a big thing that allow partners to engage with their customers, to help them understand what solutions are out there. And obviously what DEX solutions that are available for them through a company like ControlUp. Also on our partner portal, giving partners the visibility to what resources are available for them and things like training. Those are all investments that we’ve made in this and finally the one that partners I‘m sure care a great deal about is in our deal registration, give them the visibility into those deals and give them an opportunity for a much greater discount. By registering their deals with control up so that we can work together to deliver the best DEX monitoring solution from their customers.

ControlUp’s longtime partner, Alchemy, said it sees the value Drive DX offers to improve the digital experience for customers.

“We can see what’s in the walls. What’s really hard to see is what’s outside of our walls. How do we get our understanding of what’s there? And then, now that we know that what’s there well, how do we put all that together? I think that’s really what separates ControlUp versus some of the other competitors out there,” Jason Willis, practice principal experience at Alchemy, said.

“The new programs, new platform that’s really giving them kind of just horizontal capabilities. It just continues to go in either direction. And the new communications part coming out, being able to see the monitoring pieces, I think is going to be fantastic.”LEARN MORE: Cloud Channel Programs
