Maher—who has been recognized by CRN as one of the 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs and 100 Most Powerful Women of the Channel during her eight-year tenure at HPE—said she’s “excited” to join Palo Alto, Calif.-based Virtana as the company’s new vice president of global channels and strategic alliances.
“I look forward to jumping in to grow existing alliances and increasing partner engagement, which will create greater value for customers with our hybrid cloud capabilities,” Maher said in a statement.
Maher held top executive roles at Sun Microsystems and Cisco before joining HPE in 2014. She was HPE’s vice president of North America Channels and Ecosystem for several years. Maher left HPE in October as vice president of sales.ADVERTISEMENT
Maher will now be responsible for managing and developing all partner routes to market for Virtana, including solution providers, MSPs, system integrators, distributors and vendor strategic alliances.
Virtana has bullish plans for Maher as she brings a solid background in building high-performing teams across enterprise sales, specialized product sales, inside sales and SMB, channels and alliances, and product category management.
“We’re thrilled to have Leslie and her enterprise sales expertise onboard,” said Steve Hershkowitz, chief revenue officer of Virtana in a statement. “She’s respected as a focused and driven sales professional and we look forward to sharing that drive with our channel partners and strategic alliances.”
