Accenture Has Exited Russia

As the solution provider powerhouse has looked to close on a massive six companies within just a few short weeks, Accenture recently discontinued its business in Russia due to the country’s invasion of Ukraine.

The company’s move impacted 2,300 employees in the country. “Accenture stands with the people of Ukraine and the governments, companies and individuals around the world calling for the immediate end to the unlawful and horrific attack on the people of Ukraine and their freedom,” the company said in March.

In addition, Accenture has begun providing remote support services, such as Ukrainian language telehealth and settlement assistance, to the extended families of its Ukrainian employees affected by Russia’s invasion.

“While we do not have operations or people who work in the Ukraine, we have many Ukrainians who work for us, particularly in Poland,” said Accenture CEO Julie Sweet on the company’s financial earnings report in March. “For their extended families who are in Ukraine, we quickly put in place Ukrainian language telehealth and other remote support services. And for those family members who are leaving the Ukraine, we are providing the settlement assistance.”RELATED TOPICS:
