Arrow Electronics Hires Former Dell EMC Exec As ECS President

Mark Taylor, who for over two-and-a-half years has led IT distributor Arrow Electronics North America Enterprise Computing Solutions business as president, will be leaving the company.

Taking over the role is Daniel Campbell, who on Monday was unveiled by the Centennial, Colo.-based distributor as the new president of Arrow’s North America Enterprise Computing Solutions, also known by its ECS acronym.

Arrow said Taylor is transitioning out of the company and working with Campbell and Kristin Russell, president of Arrow’s global enterprise computing solutions business, during the handover of his responsibilities. Taylor is slated to leave the company on June 2.

Taylor was not able to provide more information to CRN by press time.

While Taylor served as president of Arrow Electronics North America ECS business, it was not his first stint at Arrow Electronics. He previously spent nine years at Arrow Electronics, and first left the company in March of 2016 to join Pitney Bowes as senior vice president of global software channels.

Campbell comes to Arrow Electronics ECS from software developer Speedchain, where he served as an advisor for the past 13 months.

Prior to that, Campbell was executive vice president of global sales at NCR for over four years, joining that company in early 2018 after nearly 20 years at Dell EMC. His time there was spent primarily with EMC, but for his last nearly three year he was senior vice president of that company’s Virtustream business.

Campbell has the right experience to take over for Taylor, said Rusell said in a prepared statement.

“Dan is a seasoned executive, leading all aspects of sales in cloud, software, alliances and customer success initiatives. He comes to our business segment that has prospered under Mark’s leadership, and we look forward to Dan’s deep industry experience shaping our next chapter,” Russell said.LEARN MORE: Distribution
