Who is Sapphire?
Founded in 1992, Sapphire specializes in midmarket business solutions for SME companies. Sapphire partners with SAP, ServiceNow, Amazon Web Services, Infor and Hexagon.
The company’s operations span the U.K. and U.S. with support teams in India, South Africa, Argentina, Lebanon and the Philippines.
Sapphire CEO Vince De Luca said becoming part of NTT Data is a “transformative opportunity” for his company by joining one of the world’s largest digital operations providers.
“The investment potential and global influence from this new leadership will empower us to scale internationally in unprecedented ways,” said De Luca in a statement.
NTT Data’s Merger Plan For Sapphire
NTT Data’s plan is to leverage Sapphire to become a premier provider in the SAP systems integrator market, while also boosting NTT’s digital operations capabilities for midmarket customers in the U.K. and U.S.
On average, Sapphire has a seven-year relationship with its over 1,200 existing customers. Those customers will now move to the NTT Data Group, a company that has a global head count of over 13,500 people in over 30 countries.
The move also will expedite NTT Data’s move into SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
The combined company creates the “only SAP partner able to comprehensively and consistently serve enterprise and midmarket customers’ needs,” said NTT Data’s Justin Brading, executive vice president of Western Europe, in a statement.
NTT Data, which is part of NTT Group, is a Tokyo-based global provider of consulting, industry solutions, business process services, IT modernization and managed services.LEARN MORE: Mergers and Acquisitions | Cloud Software
